 Based in beautiful Whanganui Te Oranganui is a kaupapa Māori organisation who offers a range of health and wellbeing services for whānau in the Whanganui region and surrounding districts. 

Te Taituarā is the business unit of Te Oranganui and is the one service that supports all other Te Oranganui services internally from a back office perspective. 

Te Taituarā is the backbone of the organisation and consists of finance, people, communication, data, knowledge, analytics and business administration support personnel who have the skill and expertise to ensure the smooth running of Te Oranganui so the front-line staff are able to service the Kaimahi and community in an efficient and Professional manner. 

About the role:

The Finance Administrator will support our Finance Team to ensure the organisation has prudent financial management systems. This is role is approximately 12 months fixed term to cover maternity leave.

This role will involve administrating the accounts receivables, bank reconciliation of all relevant accounts, data entry and processing invoices, payments, and receipts, along with account journaling.

The perfect candidate will have:

  • Tertiary level qualification (Level 5 or higher) in Finance or Business Management desirable.
  • Knowledge of financial information systems; particularly Xero
  • At least 2+ years’ experience in a similar role 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail (its not often you get it wrong)
